Join us this summer for our Sea Safari Camps! Drop the kids off for up close animal encounters, behind the scenes scopes, science experiments, arts and crafts, play all of our education programs, and rides on the Kemah Boardwalk!


While each camp week has a different theme, all camps include hands-on activities, games, crafts, amusement rides, snacks and lunch time, up-close animal encounters, and more. See the below for all inclusions.


Offered Monday - Friday, 9 AM - 4 PM throughout the summer. Before and after care is available for an additional fee. $285 plus tax per child.

MONDAY: FISHY ANATOMY


Mouth here, eyes there, fins, fins everywhere! Somethings fishy on Stingray Reef Exhibit: it’s up to you to identify the anatomical features of aquatic life with your field guides. Learn how different fins help both fish and squid swim, how they ‘breathe’ underwater and what adaptations they possess. Dissection teaches lab safety, dissection terminology, and both external and internal anatomy features of squid.

TUESDAY: BELLS & WHISTLES


Peek behind the glass and discover the hidden world that keeps an aquarium thriving! Uncover the science and engineering that power life behind the scenes. From pumps and filters to water chemistry, dietary charts and life support systems, explore how aquariums sustain the health of diverse species. Learn how the delicate balance of natural cycles in wild ecosystems are mirrored in aquariums to create stable habitats through life support systems.

WEDNESDAY: MARINE BIOLOGY


Put on your flippers and dive into the science of a Marine Biologist with hands-on activities involving aquatic animal care. Meet our dive team and observe how they communicate underwater. Coral reefs are one of the most diverse habitats on the planet! Discover a colorful and complex world beneath the sea. Learn how these creatures form an ecosystem, how they interact with one another and encounter some species that rely on it for survival.

THURSDAY: HERPETOLOGY


Lace up your boots and step into the world as a Herpetologist with hands-on activities involving animal care. Learn everything there is to know about these cold blooded species, their unique adaptations and how to take care of them responsibly. Deign a habitat, dive into diet and enrichment strategies, and even conduct a fecal examination to understand how scientists monitor animal health for one of our reptilian animal ambassadors. This day reveals how herpetologists help protect some of nature’s most misunderstood species.

FRIDAY: CONSERVATION HEROES


Your mission, should you choose to accept it: become a conservation hero! Explore how your actions can make a big impact in protecting animals from sea and land from danger. Create your own superhero identity, design your super suit, and save the planet!
